PROFILE
Rick Ogden, founder and Senior Consultant at SGP Consultants, discovered his passion for business and finance in high school. Rick spent his early career as a currency trader for a leading French bank Societe Generale before studying Business (Accounting) then joining Ernst & Young in its inaugural year in 1989 in the Sydney office.
Rick has many years of experience in executive roles with a range of dynamic global companies located across Australia and the Asia Middle East region. He greatly enjoyed the opportunity to work and live in China, Malaysia and The Philippines with his most recent mandate including North and South America.
Rick’s tertiary qualifications in finance and a continued commitment to learning has provided him with a strong platform to deliver meaningful value as a business partner by focusing on operational and commercial outcomes. He is an enterprise leader who is heavily engaged in strategy and key business decision making, with acknowledgement by peers as an influential and insightful leader as well as a strong team player.
Described by colleagues as an excellent relationship builder, Rick develops trusting and reliable long-term networks which is underpinned by his cross-cultural understanding and engagement with all stakeholders.
